Füssen is on the move
With over 2,000 participants aged three and above, the Füssen Running Weekend promotes an active lifestyle and generates significant economic value for the region.
Drinking stations supply stations and event tent
Since 2022, we have been using only recyclable cups at all refreshment stations, which we also collect along the route and send for recycling. Refill containers and glass bottles are used at the finish line refreshment station and in the event tent to fill participants' own drinking bottles.
Plates and cutlery event tent
At our pasta party, the Red Cross uses only recycled plates and wooden cutlery.
Drinks are served in glass bottles and, on request, in reusable cups which are washed after the event and used for all our events throughout the year. (Füssen Sports Days, bike races, spinning charity marathon, spinning video marathon, open day)
Gift baskets
The gift baskets are all filled with regional products (Schönegger Käsealm, Metzgerei Dressel, Zöttler Brauerei). We deliberately avoid using environmentally harmful packaging.
Starter bag
Our starter bags are high quality so that our runners will enjoy using them in their everyday lives.

Waste management concept at the finish line
Waste separation takes place at the supply stations immediately after the stands have been dismantled and the surrounding area cleaned.
- Clear waste separation: cups, organic waste, cardboard from large deliveries.
- Best possible waste avoidance.
- Use of reusable cups wherever possible.
- Large packaging wherever possible to enable waste to be separated by type.
Digital instead of paper
- For the past 10 years, registration for the running weekend has only been possible online.
- Starter and results lists are made available online.
- Confirmation of participation and information about the race will be sent by email.
- We no longer produce advertising flyers (until 2012 - 30,000 per year).
- Certificates will be made available for download by Davengo.
